Activities
Throughout the year, Paddle Manitoba offers a host of programming, both on and off the water. Below are just some of the activities that we try to offer, weather and volunteer dependent. For current information about Paddle Manitoba activities, be sure to check our Events and Facebook pages.
Instruction Programs
Paddle Manitoba offers instructional courses that use the Paddle Canada program. Depending on the program, these may be a few hours, or a few days, in length.
Instruction programs are open to members and non-members, beginners to experts, depending on the program.
Participants may be provided all the needed equipment for some courses, or may need to provide their own canoe, kayak, or stand up paddleboard. All participants must wear an appropriate PFD or lifejacket at all times on the water. They may be provided with, or may have to bring, the mandated safety equipment - a whistle, bailer, and throw bag (buoyant heaving line).
There is a cost to instruction programs and participants must sign a Paddle Manitoba or Paddle Canada waiver.
Registration is required as there are limits on the number of paddlers that can attend.

Overnight Trips
Overnight Trips are a place to learn about wilderness paddling and camping or share a wilderness paddling and camping experience with other paddlers.
These outings can be for members only, while other times they may by open to non-members too. Some Overnight Trips may be suitable for beginners, while others may be open only to those with more experience. If you are a beginner, these are ideal opportunities to gain skills and confidence. If you have more experience, these can be a chance for a fun, relaxing, and social getaway.
Each Overnight Trip is led by one or more experienced leaders, but these are not all-inclusive guided or serviced excursions. Participants are entirely responsible for their own safety and that of any accompanying minors and are expected to paddle, portage, make and strike camp, and prepare meals.
There is a cost to Overnight Trips and participants must sign a Paddle Manitoba or Paddle Canada waiver.
Registration is required as there are limits on the number of paddlers that can attend.
